Ingredients
  • 2 lbs shrimp (shell-on or peeled, tail-on)
  • 2 lbs crab legs (snow or king)
  • 2 lbs smoked sausage (sugar-free), sliced into thick rounds
  • 2 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed (small chunks for faster cooking)
  • 2 heads cauliflower, cut into large florets
  • 1 lb green beans or asparagus, trimmed
  • 3 zucchini or yellow squash, cut into thick chunks
  • 2 lemons, halved
  • 6 garlic cloves, smashed
  • ¼ cup Old Bay seasoning (adjust to taste)
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 2 tbsp hot sauce (optional)
  • 6 tbsp butter (or ghee), for finishing
  • Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish
Instructions
  1. Fill a large stockpot (10–12 qt or larger) with 10–12 cups of water.
  2. Add Old Bay, garlic, bay leaves, hot sauce, and both lemon halves (squeezed into the pot, then dropped in). and bring to a rolling boil and simmer 5–10 minutes.
  3. Add sweet potato chunks. Boil for 10 minutes until just beginning to soften. Next, add cauliflower and sausage and cook for another 10 minutes.
  4. Add zucchini and green beans and cook an additional 5–7 minutes until the veggies are fork-tender.
  5. Place the crab legs on top and cover the pot. Cook for 6–8 minutes until heated through.
  6. Finally, toss in shrimp and cook for 2–3 minutes, just until pink and cooked through.
  7. Drain and serve: Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a large tray or platter. Dot with butter, sprinkle more Old Bay, garnish with chopped parsley and lemon wedges.
