1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes (no sugar added; look for a low-carb brand)
1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce (no sugar added)
1 cup beef broth (low-sodium)
Optional Toppings (all keto-friendly)
Shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
Sour cream
Chopped green onions
Diced avocado
Jalapeño slices
Instructions
Brown the Beef - In a large pot or Dutch oven over medium-high heat, brown the ground beef. Drain off any excess fat if necessary.
Sauté the Veggies - Add onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the beef. Cook for about 5–7 minutes, or until the onions become translucent and peppers soften slightly.
Add Seasonings - Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Allow the spices to “bloom” for about 1 minute, releasing their full flavor.
Incorporate Liquids- Pour in the diced tomatoes (including juices), tomato sauce, and beef broth. Stir well to combine.
Simmer - Reduce the heat to low and let the chili simmer for 60 minutes, or until it thickens to your liking. Taste and adjust seasonings (salt, pepper, or chili powder) if needed.
Serve & Garnish - Ladle the chili into bowls and top with any of your favorite keto-friendly garnishes. Enjoy while hot!
